When the founders of Pres first reached out to us, they had only the seed of an idea: a name, a vibe, and a rough AI generated logo. What they didn’t yet have was the foundation for a brand that was ready for market. However, they had a powerful vision of tapping into the youth of South Africa’s party culture to create a go-to product for the pre-game ritual.

Without a clear story, a defined understanding of their competitors and target audience, or a structured identity, the idea risked petering out before it could ever make an impact.

We were tasked to develop an entire brand from the ground up that connected their existing, but vague vision to something that was culturally and visually distinct. Pres needed a lifestyle-orientated brand that encapsulated the feeling of connection, spontaneity, and pre game excitement before a night out.

We set out to this through a complete brand book. Every aspect of their story from purpose, tone, and messaging to a bold new identity system with a focus on packaging and merch was designed from scratch. We developed can concepts for the hard seltzer, product visuals, digital interfaces, and web direction that extended their presence online, finishing with social templates and signage. Each element was designed to work together as part of a scalable system.

Throughout the partnership, we collectively built Pres into a lifestyle symbol for the young generation in South Africa. The result was the transformation of Pres from a concept and idea into a fully formed, market-ready brand.
